ISecureDat provides four choices of encryption types and seven levels, up to 448-bit key-length encryption algorithms for the strongest cryptographic methods in the world. This provides complete security so nobody, not even ISecureDat, can read the files. Select the one you feel best suites your needs.

DES - 8.2 Compatible: The Data Encryption Standard (DES) is a cipher (a method for encrypting information) selected as an official Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for the United States in 1976 and which has subsequently enjoyed widespread use internationally. DES is now considered to be insecure for many applications. This is chiefly due to the 56-bit key size being too small.

DES - 8.3 Standard: In some documentation, a distinction is made between DES as a standard and DES the algorithm which is referred to as the DEA (the Data Encryption Algorithm). DES is now considered to be insecure for many applications. This is chiefly due to the 56-bit key size being too small.

TDES - Triple DES: Triple DES is a block cipher formed from the Data Encryption Standard (DES) cipher by using it three times. When it was found that a 56-bit key of DES is not enough to guard against brute force attacks, TDES was chosen as a simple way to enlarge the key space without a need to switch to a new algorithm. TDES is slowly disappearing from use, largely replaced by the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Rijndael AES - 128 / 192 / 256 bit: AES is the new US Federal Standard and we support all three levels from 128 bits to 256 bits. While 256 bit AES is very secure, it is also slow.

Blowfish - Variable Key to 448: This is probably the most secure of all as it uses a key length that is variable from four bits to 448 bits. Blowfish encryption has never been broken by a hacker.
