This form authorizes ISecureDat to retain a secured copy of my encryption key for backup purposes only.
ISecureDat guarantees the key will be protected from any form of misuse by any method.
ISecureDat does not control nor retain any right to the encryption key in its possession.
ISecureDat will release the encryption key only to the authorized person or persons named in the key retention account in-so-long as he/she/they are able to provide the appropriate proof of their identification with the pre-arranged information and/or are recognized by ISecureDat.
It is also strongly recommended to take a screen shot of your "Encryption Key Information" (in addition to printing a copy) at the time it is generated and save it as a .rtf file. Include this file as well as it is much easier to copy and paste the information into a new installation.
In order for ISecureDat to retain a copy of your encryption key, you need to send the
- "recovery.dat" and
- "recovery.dsk" files. Include a copy of the
- generated encryption screen shot if available and
- an electronic copy of some photo ID of all persons with authority to obtain the key. This needs to be either your driver's license or passport. Please send images in either in .jpg, ,png, or .rtf format.
