New Registration Wizard incorporated into the installation download.
Now all "Client Agents" (ISDRB-serv-setup.exe, ISDRB-desk-setup.exe and ISDRB-pers-setup.exe) have a built-in "Registration Wizard" which will make the registration process both faster and less complicated. Another benefit is you're able to backup your data as soon as the application is installed.
- Two New Client Editions: Version 11 adds two new Client editions - Desktop and Personal, in addition to the existing Server Edition. Most ISD clients will use the "Desktop" edition while the FREE 2GB clients will use the "Personal" edition. The Server Edition (ISDRB-serv-setup.exe) backs up Windows Servers. It has all available features turned ON, including unlimited Exchange mailboxes, SQL Server, System State, Active Directory, and Sharepoint.
The Desktop Edition backs up Windows desktop computers. It has all features turned on except support for Exchange, Active Directory and Sharepoint.
The Personal Edition is for personal computers. It has the following features turned off: Exchange, SQL Server, System State, Active Directory, Sharepoint, Bit Backup, Copy to Disk, Delete Files from Server, Advanced Interface, Mapped Drives, File Selection Interface, Multiple Backup Sets, Differential Backup, Keep Latest Version, Purge Files by Sets, and Local Mirror.
- New Feature: New VSS (Volume Shadow Copy) Open files solution replaces the OFA (Open Files Agent) driver functionality in previous versions. This resolves all known issues with the older Open Files Agent.
- Critical Update (Client) An updated and enhanced VSS (Open files) Library module that solve issues with multiple open files with same filename, and files with insufficient permissions.
- Fixed an issue with very large restores using the Client application. Restores were sometimes slow over 500,000 files in a batch.
- Added new switch to Email Notifications program to change Subject to "Backup Failed due to Exceptions or Warnings", if there are any Exceptions or Warnings encountered during backup. (Default subject line when Exceptions or Warnings are encountered say, "Backup Successful/Finished (Warning: File Exceptions or Warnings encountered)".
- Multiple minor upgrades.

Latest dope!
We have just completed a site revamp in an effort to be more user friendly by simplified the contract renewal process and even the new account application process for new clients. We hope this and all the other changes we've made (many where for our own benefit of easier updating our site) provides both an informational and pleasant tour. This small self extracting zip package provides new icons used during the backup procedure (not critical). They simply make the backup process steps more obvious that action is actually being taken. This file also includes an instruction sheet detailing how and where these icons need to be placed. Click the hyper-text above or go to the "Download" button on the main menu.

This is just one of those small thing no one thought about, an actual download button added to the main menu so people wouldn't have to go through the site looking for the download links. Of course there is always the "sitemap", but not everyone always thinks about that either.
Easy to find and right there in your face just for you.

ISD has created a new "Site Survey" and would really like your feedback. We realize this probably isn't of any particular interest to you so we'd really like to send you something nice for being such a good sport and a super help... like a new BMW Z4 Roadster for example, but we can't.

Over the last several months, ISecureDat has been researching and studying the backup market with a particular interest in competitor pricing.
Everyone knows there are some large companies out there with absurd pricing structures that just can't be competed with. There are also many others offering lower prices (or at least perceived as lower prices until you look into the details) than ISD which makes us less of a competitor. And yes there are many others with higher prices than ISD, but we're not particularly concerned with those ones... at least not for that reason.
So with this in mind we have dropped prices on all packages across the board anywhere from 47% on the smaller ones and up to 73% on the larger ones. These new prices take effect
immediately and have been applied pro-rated to our current clients.
